 Throughout the Philippines, we see living testaments of the lack of opportunity for children of the poor. The “Sampaguita child,” often barefoot, barely clothed and selling strings of the fragrant national flower in busy intersections, has become an all-too-familiar symbol of the plight of poor children in our motherland.
Sampaguita Project was established by the founders of MyBarong.com as a means to give opportunity & hope to children who need it most. From school nutrition programs to scholarships, Sampaguita Project is dedicated to helping children develop a life of opportunity. How you can contribute meaningfully & immediately: 1. Donate your old mobile phones: - - email us with subject line: “Sampaguita Project mobile phone donation”
- - please ensure that they’re in working condition, & include the battery
- - include the charger / accessories if you still have those
- - these will be sold in the “2nd hand” market to raise funds for Sampaguita Project
